The Surveyors Hill Winery is a multi award-winning estate at Wallaroo (near Hall), just 20 minutes from the city of Canberra. This historic property offers excellent wines, dining and accommodation in the beautiful Murrumbidgee Valley.
Overlooking the valley of the Murrumbidgee River in a very beautiful landscape on the slope of
Surveyor's Hill, our property covers 225 acres, and has plantings of 25 acres of vines. People
who stay with us enjoy walking and exploring this historic part of the Canberra region, and
those who enjoy a bit of a climb can walk to the top of Surveyor's Hill itself (735 metres),
where great views can be had of Canberra and the Murrumbidgee valley.
Our new accommodation was completed in May 2009, with assistance of a Commonwealth grant for innovative tourism development.
The unit has a queen bed, large "bed-sitting" area, on-suite bathroom/toilet and south-facing deck. It is equipped with a bar fridge and tea/coffee making facilities, and toaster --- similar to a very large motel facility.
